What to expect

On this page you will find some general information, intended to help you be prepared for your session.  Each session is unique, customized to your personal needs and taste.  Each session is scheduled when it is convenient for you.

We discuss your expectations before the session during a meeting or by phone, this way we can plan our photo shoot and discuss all the details.

How much time does it take?

It takes from 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on your needs.  I’m always prepared before your arrival.  It usually takes longer for small babies – so I will give you extra time for feeding and other needs.  Your comfort is my priority!  For older children  – I usually like to spend some time getting to know them better and playing with them, so that they would feel comfortable with me and the camera.

What should we wear?

Choose your outfit  depending on your style and individuality.  Solid colors, long sleeves and simple neckline work the best.  Try to avoid strong patterns, logos, and too many accessories.  I usually encourage people to bring a few different outfits – casual and/or formal.
For babies – one-piece  outfits or nothing at all.
For toddlers take a few formal and a few casual outfits.
For modeling shots I usually encourage women to wear heels and make up.

What to bring?

For babies we can use special props, and I encourage you to bring some special items that mean a lot to you or to your child (handmade blankets, hats, socks, shoes, or toys).

How do I get pictures?

As soon as the pictures are ready, I call you and we set an appointment so you can see them.  You will order free pictures that are included with the package you got and you will get a free disc with low resolution pictures.  As far as the rest of the pictures – HIP Photography  owns them, so you can order any picture you want from us, or you can purchase all of them for an additional price.
